Petty Officer 3rd Class Eugene N. Portiz, aviation structural mechanic, from Point Mugu, Calif., and Petty Officer 1st Class Roger M. Yost, aviation structural mechanic, from Morgantown, W.Va., put a jack in place to raise an E-2C Hawkeye assigned to the Black Eagles of Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 113 for an operational check of its landing gear in the hangar bay aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).
