170831-N-WH681-144 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 31, 2017) Sailors and Marines onload food stores aboard amphibious assault ship USS Kearsage (LHD 3). Kearsarge is on-loading personnel, equipment and supplies in preparation to assist with disaster relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Hurricane Harvey formed in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in southeastern Texas, bringing record flooding and destruction to the area.
