Col. Frank David II, commander of 71st Ordnance Group (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), gives a speech about eight Soldiers to be honored for their many years of dedicated service to the nation during a post retirement ceremony Sept. 27, 2017, inside the William “Bill” Reed special events center at Fort Carson, Colo. The ceremony is held each month to show appreciation for Soldiers exiting the military and allows friends, family members and coworkers an opportunity to celebrate in the Soldiers’ decades-long achievements.
