Col. Frank David II, commander of 71st Ordnance Group (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), gives the son of Sgt. 1st Class Edward Hinojosa, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment, a certificate for supporting her father’s career during a post retirement ceremony Sept. 27, 2017, inside the William “Bill” Reed special events center at Fort Carson, Colo. The Hinojosa family was one of eight families honored at the ceremony. The ceremony is held each month to show appreciation for Soldiers exiting the military and allows friends, family members and coworkers an opportunity to celebrate in the Soldiers’ decades-long achievements.
