John Johnson, the senior enlisted leader of 52nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, and the Johnson family during a post retirement ceremony Sept. 27, 2017, inside the William “Bill” Reed special events center at Fort Carson, Colo. The Johnson family was one of eight families honored at the ceremony. The ceremony is held each month to show appreciation for Soldiers exiting the military and allows friends, family members and coworkers an opportunity to celebrate in the Soldiers’ decades-long achievements.
