    Coast Guard Seaman Frank Lenihan, Coast Guard Seaman Blake Berryman and Guard Chief Petty Officer William Winegar stabilize a water-sampling device, while Winegar also directs a machinery operator, as they lower the device onto the Coast Guard Cutter Healy during night operations along Barrow Canyon, Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.

    The device was an oceanography instrument primarily used to determine the conductivity, temperature and depth of the ocean, as well as provide water samples form various depths for further analysis.
