Morgan Busby, a research fisheries biologist with the National Oceanic an Atmospheric Administration, examines several plankton taken from a sample collected while aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Healy during research operations in the Arctic, Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017.

In addition to preserving plankton samples throughout the operation, Busby is also documenting a variety of fish, including the Arctic cod, saffron cod, capelin and yellowfin sole.
