Spc. James Gauthreaux, of the 1223rd Engineering Company, South Carolina Army Guard, supplies water as other soldiers power wash a local school here. Soldiers of the 1223rd are supporting Guard units from around the country, including Air Force and Navy Seabee units, for Beyond the Horizon 2011. The 4-month-long civic assistance and training exercise is helping build local Salvadoran infrastructure, give U.S. soldiers valuable training and strengthened U.S.-Salvadoran relations.
