Sgt. Anthony Mcelroy, of the 212th Engineering Company, Tennessee Guard, instructs a Salvadoran soldier on how to use a compactor in order to level the ground to construct a schoolhouse. Soldiers of the 212th, supported by Army Guard units from around the country, including Air Force and Navy seabee units, participated in Beyond the Horizon 2011. The 4-month-long civic assistance and training exercise will help build Salvadoran infrastructure, give U.S. soldiers valuable training and strengthen U.S.-Salvadoran relations.
