Spc. Eric Wieberholt, left, and Spc. Randy Birchfield, both of the 815th Engineer Company, Det. 2, based in Lisbon, N.D., lift sandbags for placement onto a flood levee, April 10, around a rural Cass County farmstead. The soldiers are members of a North Dakota National Guard quick response force team that has been sent to the rural home, which has been surrounded by miles of flood water, by the Cass County tactical operations center. About 500 Guardsmen are currently conducting flood operations in North Dakota, with the vast majority in Cass County.
