CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan – Sgt. John Fruin briefs Marines during a Special Reaction Team Special Effects Small Arms Marking System Tactic Based Training range Nov. 22 at Combat Town, Okinawa, Japan. Fruin uses SESAMS ranges to instill confidence in his Marines and their ability to make timely decisions under pressure. Each Marine practiced weapons handling and employment of firearms while moving through and clearing out buildings. The SESAMS rounds visually tracked how accurately the SRT Marines were during each simulation. Fruin is the SRT leader with the Provost Marshal’s Office, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan.
