SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii – Chief Warrant Officer 3 Gregory Benson, an Airdrop Systems Technician with the 25th Sustainment Brigade, supervises Soldiers from the 25th Composite Truck Company, 524th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion December 7, as they strap down rigged low cost low altitude (LCLA) loads to a palletized loading system to be transported to a flight line for an air delivery exercise the following day. The LCLA delivery method is used to resupply on-ground troops at less of cost and higher accuracy than a high altitude airdrop making it the preferred method for light-weight supplies.
