180401-N-PH222-0089 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 1, 2018) Marine Corps Sgt. Peter Pintens, from Tomahawk, Wis., right, assigned to 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Ivan Naranjo, from Chicago, assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) stand surveillance watch on the bridge wing. Anchorage is underway with 13th MEU for an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
