SASEBO, Japan (Apr. 25, 2018) Sasebo City archeologist Atsushi Kawachino and Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo Cultural Resources Manager Sean Suk shake hands after the turnover of three early 20th century Imperial Japanese Navy coal briquettes to Sasebo City Apr. 25, 2018. The rare briquettes were fuel for naval vessels and were manufactured by the Tokuyama naval fuel depot in Yamaguchi Prefecture. These were dredged up in CFAS waters during an environmental resources survey conducted in February and turned over to Sasebo City for curation and display.
