U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey aircraft attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162 Reinforced make their approach to the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations, April 24, 2018. The Iwo Jima, homeported in Mayport, Florida, was on a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
