Landing craft air cushion 21 departs the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown, carrying Commander, 7th Fleet Vice Adm. Scott Van Buskirk and Australian army dignitaries during their tour of the ship. Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. A.D. Hull, is participating with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
