Cmdr. A.D. Hull, USS Germantown commanding officer, presents the command ball cap and command coin to Australian army Gen. David Hurley, chief of defense force and U.S. Ambassador to Australia Jeffrey Bleich after a tour of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship. Germantown is participating with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
