U.S. Ambassador to Australia Jeffrey Bleich, center, and Commander, 7th Fleet Vice Adm. Scott Van Buskirk, right, depart a landing craft air cushion in the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown. Bleich, Buskirk, along with his staff, and other U.S. military officials and dignitaries from Australia, visited the ship to tour the facilities. Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. A.D. Hull, is participating in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
