U.S. Marines with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division stand in formation for a Memorial Day ceremony during a deployment for training (DFT) exercise at Fort Stewart, Ga., May 28, 2018. 2nd AABn paid their respects for the fallen service members from the battalion and those within the Department of Defense. The DFT is to maintain proficiency in landing the surface assault element during amphibious operations to inland objectives and with conduction mechanized operations and related combat support in operations ashore.
