U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Aaron Lloyd, a commanding officer, with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion (AABn), 2nd Marine Division, renders a salute for a Memorial Day ceremony during a deployment for training (DFT) exercise at Fort Stewart, Ga., May 28, 2018. Lloyd held a salute to honor the fallen service members from the battalion. The DFT is to maintain proficiency in landing the surface assault element during amphibious operations to inland objectives and with conduction mechanized operations and related combat support in operations ashore.
