U.S. Marines with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division hold a Memorial Day ceremony during a deployment for training (DFT) exercise at Fort Stewart, Ga., May 28, 2018. The battalion held the ceremony to honor the fallen service members of the battalion and those within the Department of Defense. The DFT is to maintain proficiency in landing the surface assault element during amphibious operations to inland objectives and with conducting mechanized operations and related combat support in operations ashore.
