Col. Russell C. Burton, right, commanding officer for MCAS New River presents a $4000 check to Lt. Col. Chris Kinsey, commanding officer of the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Marine Unit New River, July 18, for being the top energy saving unit on the air station. In April 2017, MCAS New River started the Energy Efficiency Initiative to have Marines only use the energy they need to accomplish the mission, and now the Unit Energy Manager Program is awarding units that conserve the most energy. The money CNATT MARU received will go toward the unit’s Family Readiness Officers’ funds to improve morale and troop welfare. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Breanna Weisenberger)
