NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 30, 2018) Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Codarius McClendon, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) weapons department, receives his certificate of appointment to the rank of petty officer second class from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford’s commanding officer. McClendon was promoted following his selection for the Meritorious Advancement Program.
