Tech Sgt. Roann Leatz, an MC-130j loadmaster with the 193rd Pennsylvania Air National Guard, is competing at the 2019 Air Force Trials at Nellis AFB, Nev. Her first event with the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) was at Offutt AFB, Neb. last year, with this being her first time competing. She is currently enrolled in the AFW2 High Performance Program, an adaptive sports program geared at increasing wounded warriors' recovery through sports. Air Force Trials is a Paralympic-style competitive event featuring eleven adaptive sports. It has a two-fold purpose, one is to select the 40-person primary and 10-person alternate members for Team Air Force. The second is to highlight the effectiveness of adaptive sports in aiding wounded warriors in their recovery and long-term resiliency. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Shawn Sprayberry)
