Master Sgt. David Long, a jet engine mechanic from Holloman AFB, NM, is helping out the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) during the 2019 Air Force Trials at Nellis AFB, Nev. He is enrolled in AFW2 and has competed with the program in the past but uses his passion for photography to help spread the message of how sports can help wounded warriors heal. Air Force Trials is a Paralympic-style competitive event featuring eleven adaptive sports. It has a two-fold purpose, one is to select the 40-person primary and 10-person alternate members for Team Air Force. The second is to highlight the effectiveness of adaptive sports in aiding wounded warriors in their recovery and long-term resiliency. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Shawn Sprayberry)
