Retired Chief Master Sgt. Garrett Kuwada is cheering on Staff Sgt. Bryon Brightman as he approaches the wall during the swimming competition at the 2019 Air Force Trials at Nellis AFB, Nev. Bryon struggled the last few yards but pushed hard to finish with the support of his wingmen in attendance. Air Force Trials is a Paralympic-style competitive event featuring eleven adaptive sports. It has a two-fold purpose, one is to select the 40-person primary and 10-person alternate members for Team Air Force. The second is to highlight the effectiveness of adaptive sports in aiding wounded warriors in their recovery and long-term resiliency. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Shawn Sprayberry)
