Pvt. Daniel J. Houten patiently waits in line for the National Guard GED Plus testing center to open. While in preparation classes, the instructors helped Houten increase his average scores in all GED testing areas and enabled him to graduate at the top of his class. Houten joined the Georgia Army National Guard as an Infantryman (11B) after serving as a mechanic in the Israel Defense Forces. He is currently attending basic and advanced individual training at Fort Benning, Ga.
