Pvt. Daniel J. Houten opens the hood of an M113 armored personnel at the Arkansas Army National Guard's 233rd Regional Training Institute's motor pool at Camp Robinson, checking to see any differences from the ones he worked on as a mechanic with the Israel Defense Forces.
"It was interesting, but I'm done tinkering with tools," Houten said. After basic training and Infantryman training at Fort Benning, Ga., Houten plans to apply for U.S. Army Ranger School. He is a member of the Georgia Army National Guard.
