Members of the Iowa Air National Guard’s 185th Air Refueling Wing Repair and Reclamation shop use a crane to lift the tail of a U.S. Air Force KC-135 at the main hangar in Sioux City, Iowa on March 22, 2019. Because of structural damage to the Stratotanker’s rudder the entire 25 foot structure needed to be removed before it could be repaired. This is the first time 185th ARW maintenance group members removed a tail at the Sioux City, Iowa maintenance facility.
