U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Johnnie Antonio takes accountability of equipment following a maritime prepositioning force (MPF) offload for Exercise Balikatan March 23, 2019, at Subic Bay International Airport, Republic of the Philippines. The equipment that was offloaded will be utilized during Exercise Balikatan, which is an annual exercise between the U.S. military and Armed Forces of the Philippines that allows the countries to strengthen relationships, increase interoperability and enhance operational readiness. MPF offloads provide the Marines Corps the ability to distribute equipment and assets to service members in deployed environments through the Indo-Pacific region at a moment’s notice. Antonio, a landing support specialist with Landing Support Platoon, LS Company, 3rd Transportation Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
