    SAN ANTONIO - (April 26, 2019) More than 150 Sailors and future Sailors of Military City USA took part in the Battle of Flowers Parade held during Fiesta San Antonio. The Battle of Flowers Parade is the oldest event and largest parade of Fiesta San Antonio attracting crowds of more than 350,000. It is the only parade in the United States produced entirely by women, all of whom are volunteers. Leading the Sailors in the parade was Rear Adm. Tina Davidson, commander, Navy Medicine Education, Training and Logistics Command (NMETLC) headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. Other commands which participated included: Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio, Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) San Antonio, Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC) Lackland, Navy Medicine Training Support Center (NMTSC), Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) San Antonio, and Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Texas.
