190527-M-HB658-0172 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 27, 2019) U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Wilton Garcia, a weapons and tactics instructor with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), performs air squats during a “Murph” workout of the day aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) on Memorial Day. The workout was conducted in honor of Medal of Honor recipient U.S. Navy Lt. Michael Murphy. The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
