First Sergeant Christopher A. Reynoso, the Sierra Battery first sergeant with 5th Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, helps his daughter, Carolena, execute bayonet techniques during a military immersion event for family and friends of Marines here, April 21. Reynoso, a 36-year-old native of New Port Richey, Fla., is currently training to deploy with his battery to Afghanistan. The artillery Marines of 5th Bn., 11th Marines, hosted “Jane Wayne Day,” an event which allows loved ones to participate in military training and gain a better understanding of their Marines’ jobs. Guests completed a portion of the Combat Fitness Test, learned martial arts moves, fired the M4 assault rifle, examined artillery weapon systems and witnessed live-fire demonstrations with machine guns and rocket launches.
