Veterans and service members were recognized in the military honors funeral of former Army Sgt. Robert Hale. Mr. Hale served in the 101st Airborne Division in WWII. He made the jump on D-Day, and fought at Market Garden, and Bastogne. He was wounded twice before finally returning home. Humble and quiet about his war-time service, he became a painting contractor and raised a family. Hale's grandson, Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Timothy Keyes (front), was present at the funeral.
