Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Timothy Keyes lays the American flag over the coffin of his grandfather, and former Army Sergeant, Robert Hale, in a military honors funeral for Hale in St. Louis, on September 14, 2019. Mr. Hale served in the 101st Airborne Division in WWII. He made the jump on D-Day, and fought at Market Garden, and Bastogne. He was wounded twice before finally returning home. Humble and quiet about his war-time service, he became a painting contractor and raised a family. Keyes later presented Hale's folded American flag to his mother, Pamela Keyes, daughter of Hale.
