SAN DIEGO (Sept. 18, 2019) Lt. Aaron Yallowitz, an emergency medicine intern
assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), prepares medical tools
during a training scenario at the hospital Sept. 18. Yallowitz, along with
NMCSD medical officers, staff, and interns performed resuscitative procedures
on a cadaver as part of routine training to prepare the medical team for
real-world scenarios. NMCSD's mission is to prepare service members to deploy
in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and
shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and
research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel,
civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with
