A launch team of about 15 to 20 people could inhabit a firing room at any point during the early days of space launch at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. While today, technology has advanced so that we may use computers to make space launch more efficient, teams in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s were using only knobs like the ones pictured above, their brains and one another.
