Pfc. Josue Flores, 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, G-CO, 158th Brigade Support Battalion, Arizona Army National Guard, measures and cuts sections of elastic that will be used for surgical masks produced for the Soldiers and Airmen of Task Force Guardian (TFG) Arizona at the Combined Surface Maintenance Shops (CSMS) on Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 10, 2020.
The surgical masks were produced as a cooperative effort among Guardsmen who are serving as part of TFG and Guardsmen from the CSMS to ensure TFG Soldiers are able to effectively accomplish their mission while preventing the spread of COVID-19. The project concluded on April 29, with 1300 surgical masks being produced by the volunteers.
