Chief Warrant Officer 2 Brandon Hewitt, J3 Operations, Task Force Guardian Arizona, Arizona Army National Guard, adjusts the surgical mask he just completed that will serve as his personal protection equipment and is the first of many surgical masks that will be distributed to the Soldiers and Airmen of Task Force Guardian (TFG) Arizona at the Combined Surface Maintenance Shops (CSMS) on Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 10, 2020.
The five Soldier and Airmen volunteers organized, procured the materials, designed, and produced the masks with the intent of providing personal protection equipment to the Soldiers and Airmen of TFG to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The project concluded on April 29, with 1300 surgical masks being produced.
