Gambian navy Leading Seaman Sainey Ngum checks the size of the holes of a vessel's netting in Gambia's Exclusive Economic Zone to ensure it meets regulations. The Gambian navy was working recently with USS Simpson (FFG 56) and U.S. Coast Guard assets to support African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station, in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
