    suspected of illicit activity in The Gambia's Exclusive Economic Zone. The
    U.S. Coast Guard has partnered up with the guided-missile frigate USS
    Simpson and the Senegalese navy to support African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station, in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
