Sailors aboard guided-missile frigate USS Simpson's rigid hull inflatable boat drive along side a Chinese vessel fishing in Senegal's Exclusive Economic Zone after dropping off a joint-boarding team of U.S. Coast Guard and Senegalese navy members and an inspector from Senegal's Department of Fisheries to conduct a routine inspection. Simpson recently supported African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station, in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
