U.S. Coast Guard and Senegalese sailors provide security for a joint-boarding team while conducting a routine inspection of a vessel fishing in Senegal's Exclusive Economic Zone. The U.S. Coast Guard has partnered up with the guided-missile frigate USS Simpson (FFG 56) and the Senegalese navy to support African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership (AMLEP) operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station (APS), in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
