Senegal and The Gambia were working recently with USS Simpson (FFG 56) and U.S. Coast Guard assets supporting African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership (AMLEP) operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station (APS), in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
