Staff Sgt. Clayton S. Leverenz, bulk fuel specialist, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, receives the Marine Corps Engineer Associations Bulk Fuel Staff Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year award from Brig. Gen. Bobbi Shea, Commanding General of the 1st MLG, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 20, 2020. Leverenz’s continuous planning, leading and training of the Marines under his charge proved essential for the forward momentum of a modern and mobile bulk fuel company. He planned and executed the seamless distribution of equipment to its appropriate location and established an incredibly efficient pumping order that transferred over 200,000 gallons of product over rugged and steep terrain.
