211104-N-CE120-1003 KWAJALEIN ATOLL, Marshall Islands (Nov. 4, 2021) Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Jonathan Velasco (left) guides Equipment Operator 2nd Class Brandon Blevins during an offload of an 11k forklift on Ebeye Island, Marshall Islands. The U.S. Navy Seabees with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 worked with the U.S. Army to transport Civil Engineer Construction Equipment on a U.S. Army Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM 8609) vessel. The Seabees are supporting the local Marshallese government and assisting with the construction of a new police station. The U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening their alliances and partnerships, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces.
