211104-N-CE120-1002 KWAJALEIN ATOLL, Marshall Islands (Nov. 4, 2021) Equipment Operator 2nd Class Brandon Blevins, with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, poses for a photograph with an 11k forklift on a U.S. Army Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM 8609) vessel during transit to Ebeye Island, Marshall Islands. The Seabees are supporting the local Marshallese government and assisting with the construction of a new police station. NMCB-5 is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening their alliances and partnerships, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, California, NMCB-5 has 13 detail sites deployed throughout the U.S and Indo-Pacific area of operations.
