Master Sgt. Chris Cortazzo from the 416th Civil Affairs Battalion, an Army Reserve unit from Norristown, Pa., demonstrates how to hit a baseball from a tee for local children from Al Kush, Iraq, a village approximately 50 km from Mosul. Soldiers from the 416th are teaching children from the youth center in Al Kush the game of baseball. The children expressed an interest in learning the sport, which most have only seen on television. The Soldiers are using equipment that was donated from friends and family back in the United States. The 416th Youth Soccer and Sports committee is promoting youth sports in the rural areas of northern Iraq by working with local coaches and youth to provide equipment and training. (Photo by Spc.
