An Iraqi youth catches a ball at second base to make the first out of the day during a baseball game with Soldiers from the 416th Civil Affairs Battalion, an Army Reserve unit from Norristown, Pa. The 416th Soldiers are teaching children from Al Kush, Iraq, a village approximately 50 km from Mosul, to play the game of baseball. The children expressed an interest in learning the sport, which most have only seen on television. After a general explanation of the rules of the game and some practice in hitting, catching and throwing the ball, the children and Soldiers played a game together. The 416th Youth Soccer and Sports committee is promoting youth sports in the rural areas of northern Iraq by working with local coaches and youth to provide equipment and training. (Photo by Spc.
