Two Iraqi youth from Al Kush, Iraq, a village approximately 50 km from Mosul, practice throwing and catching a baseball July 29. Soldiers from the 416th Civil Affairs Battalion, an Army Reserve unit from Norristown, Pa., are teaching the youth to play baseball. The children received a general explanation of the rules of baseball and instruction of basic skills such as throwing, catching and hitting. The 416th Youth Soccer and Sports committee is promoting youth sports in the rural areas of northern Iraq by working with local coaches and youth to provide equipment and training. (Photo by Spc.
